Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998, it is an offence to;
- Supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18 years (Penalty exceeds $17,000)
- For a person under the age of 18 years to purchase, attempt to purchase or receive liquor (Penalty exceeds $500)
If ordering hampers containing alcohol, you confirm that you are over the age of 18 years. It is a legal requirement that the person placing the order is over the age of 18 and the person receiving the delivery is over the age of 18. Upon delivery of goods, the courier driver may ask for identification for proof of age before handing over goods.
